The Hotel Restaurant de la Poste, between the Parc Naturel du Perche and Parc Normandie Maine

Ideally located, halfway between Normandy and Maine in the south-east of the Orne department, the Hotel de la Poste is at the gateway to the Perche. Le Perche is a region that gives pride of place to nature. A preserved area designated as a "Regional Nature Park". A real delight for nature lovers who will discover a remarkable nature during pleasant bucolic and vivifying strolls on its soft hills and in the heart of its splendid forests!

Here traditions live-on, that of the Mortagne au Perche black pudding, Alençon lace of or crochet cotton prepared in the millennial village of La Perrière ...

But Le Perche is also the country of manors, medieval towns of character, famous percheron horses and paradise for antique lovers – an unavoidable destination in France for amateurs of flea market and antiques, the image of an authentic Normandy that attracted so many artists from all over the world. Succumbing to the charms of the region, far from the hustle and bustle many people who have settled around Mortagne au Perche, notably in the village of La Perrière, which organizes its annual art market a regional event or in Bellême, the seductive and elegant historic capital of Perche.

And of course, there is the Voie Verte which passes near our hotel which has become an ideal stop for cycling enthusiasts. The Pays d'Alençon is crossed by the Véloscénie, a new marked cycling itinerary which since 2012 connects Notre-Dame Cathedral inn Paris to Mont-Saint-Michel. Finally for the amateurs, our hotel is located a few minutes of an international Go-Cart circuit "West Karting" and of a rally cross circuit in Essay.

Normandy / Maine

Welcome to the heart of the 250 000 hectare Normandy Maine park, the largest of the four natural parks of Normandy. The discovery of the territory of the Monts de Normandie and Maine gives a hint of adventure. It is situated in two regions (Normandy and Pays de la Loire) and four departments (Orne, Manche, Mayenne and Sarthe). Along the water and the paths, between groves and forests, is revealed a very wide diversity of landscapes that shelter unique fauna and flora ... Emblematic and rare species like the white footed crayfish or the pearl mussel...

On foot, by cycle, on horseback or in carriages, the hedgerow countryside where the owl nestles and the majestic forests of the Andaines, Ecouves, Perseigne and Sillé, where deer, wild boars and other black peaks or the Saint- Martin buzzard can be limitlessly appreciated

Here, the ancient stones never cease to evoke the particularly fertile history, stamped by figures such as William the Conqueror. Witness to the feudal rivalries between Normandy and Maine, many castles dot the territory from east to west. At Domfront, Lassay-les-Châteaux or Sillé-le-Guillaume, the fortresses continue proudly to defy time.
